Disputes and compensation for damage
The only true win where disputes are concerned is when a dispute is totally avoided. This is an important maxim, however its truth is not appreciated by all. Indeed, the cost of justice can often be very high. And not just in terms of money. Disputes are exhausting; they sap energy and cause negative emotions to flare. Inevitably, the outcome appears just to only one of the parties in the dispute, but it seems like a great injustice to the other party. Therefore, before beginning a legal battle, one needs to carefully consider whether the goal one hopes to achieve is truly worth the battle.
The VETO LT team knows how to avoid unnecessary disputes and achieve a peaceful settlement, if that is at all feasible. Above all, we look at every situation through the prism of possible economic benefit to the client. If litigation is not promising, we endeavour to conclude the dispute as quickly and as cheaply as possible. However, if there is no choice, we will fight for our client to the end, using every imaginable legal defence strategy. We have ample experience in resolving disputes both at the pre-litigation stage and in court or through arbitration.
We are aware that before peace can be made, one has to get a little angry at first. Getting angry the right way is just as much an important and delicate art as making peace. When our clients are the defendants, we always keep in mind the maxim that “Attack is the best form of defence.” All that remains to be done is to choose an inventive strategy and judicial battle tactics.
